Let me explain why we wanted to release an English version this time.
It's because we thought, "Maybe overseas users will like our work too."

This is because I have experience as a scenario writer writing game scenarios for overseas publishers (translating Japanese originals into other languages) and working on multilingual translation novel games. Thankfully, the scenarios I created were well-received and I even received additional requests.

While I was receiving praise for the work I was writing, I had a feeling that "Japanese traditional works are popular (*refers to works that are not influenced by trends, not trendy works)" and "In today's Japan, there is a demand for works that companies have stopped making due to cost constraints and trends."

This may have been the case then and it may be that now, but I'm not the kind of scenario writer who can jump on the bandwagon and write on impulse (my writing speed is average so the trend wears off before it's too late), so I find it difficult to survive commercially.
...So I thought it would be best to create something solid and get people to evaluate it on that, and so I decided to make a game out of the Knight Case Files series, which I consider to be the masterpiece of my creative career.

With that in mind, I was first looking for a way to translate and promote my work in English, and that's when I came across Kaguya Project.

Knight Case Files is one of the signature works of scenario writer and novelist Kouki Shiwasu (Shierin). I am pleased to have the opportunity to spread it to a wider audience through the translation of the game.

I am a writer who specializes in dark, serious works that expose emotions and obsessions, such as "Knight Case Files," and refreshing youth romantic comedies, such as "Love Pattern."

We trust the words of Kaguya Project and those who gave us feedback at game exhibitions, and will not erase the style and attention to detail that we have received praise for, but will brush up the text until the very last minute of the writing period before releasing the game.

今回はなぜ英語版を出したかったのか？についてご説明しましょう。

それは「私達の作品、もしかしたら海外のユーザーも好きじゃない？」と思ったからです。

私はシナリオライターとして海外パブリッシャーのゲームシナリオ（日本語を原作として他言語に翻訳）を執筆していたり、多言語翻訳ノベルゲームの現場にいた経験があるからです。ありがたいことに制作したシナリオはかなり褒めていただき、追加依頼もいただいたぐらいでした。

執筆していた作品を褒められながら感じていたことがあります。

それは「日本の王道作品が好まれている（※流行り物ではなく、流行りに左右されないものを指す）」「今の日本ではコスト都合や時流で企業が作らなくなったような作品が求められている」ことでした。

当時も今もかもしれませんが、私は流行りに乗っかって勢いで執筆できるシナリオライターではない（執筆速度が普通なので流行りが終わってしまう）ので、商業面で生きづらさを感じています。

……であれば、しっかり作り込んでそこを評価してもらうのがいいだろうと私の創作人生において代表作ともいえるKnight Case Filesシリーズをゲーム化することに。

そういった経緯からまずは英語翻訳・PRする方法を探していました。そこで出会ったのがカグヤプロジェクトさんでした。

Knight Case Filesは、シナリオライター・小説家の師走幸希（紫江凜）が得意とする看板作品の一つです。ゲームの飜訳という形でより多くのユーザーに広められる機会を得たことを嬉しく思います。

私は「Knight Case Files」のようなダーク・シリアス・感情の吐露・執着を前面に出す作品や「恋模様」のような爽やか青春ラブコメの二枚看板とする作家です。

カグヤプロジェクトさんやゲーム展示会にて感想くださった方々のお言葉を信じて、お褒めいただきました作風・こだわりは消さずに、執筆期間ギリギリまでテキストをブラッシュアップしてリリースいたします。
